Native Micro Live

Advertiser Livestream Setup Guide

Effective date: August 5, 2026
Advertisers and creators use their own OBS or other RTMP-capable software; Micro Rewards provides a campaign-specific streaming destination.

How an advertiser or streamer goes live

  1. Create or open an advertiser account and obtain advertiser approval.
  2. Create a campaign and choose Stream directly to Micro Rewards from OBS/Streamlabs as the Micro playback source.
  3. Set the title, schedule, replay mode, reward rates, limits, rights confirmation, and moderation controls.
  4. Save the draft, submit it for review, and complete any required funding/allocation steps.
  5. Open the campaign detail and select Create OBS Channel.
  6. Copy the campaign-specific RTMP server, stream key, publisher username, and one-time password into the broadcaster’s own software.
  7. Start streaming. The gateway reports the connection, the campaign moves live, and the watch page becomes available under the approved rules.
  8. Stop streaming when finished and apply the approved end/replay configuration.

OBS setup

In OBS Studio, open Settings → Stream, choose a custom service, and enter the values shown in the Micro Rewards campaign detail. Use broadly compatible H.264/AAC settings, a stable keyframe interval, and a resolution and bitrate appropriate for the campaign and connection.

Showing your screen, application, or camera

  • Use Display Capture to show an entire monitor.
  • Use Window Capture to show only one application or presentation.
  • Use Video Capture Device for a webcam and place it above the screen source for picture-in-picture.
  • Review the preview before going live. Hide passwords, wallet information, stream credentials, private messages, notifications, and confidential files.

Other streaming tools and multiple destinations

A broadcaster may use OBS Studio, Streamlabs, vMix, Wirecast, XSplit, FFmpeg, a hardware encoder, a mobile RTMP app, or another custom-RTMP tool. A creator already live elsewhere may add Micro Rewards through supported multi-output software, compatible hardware, or a cloud restreaming workflow, while complying with every destination’s terms.

Credential safety

  • Never place stream keys or passwords in screenshots, public documents, chat, source code, ZIP files, or repositories.
  • Each channel is tied to one campaign. Do not reuse it for another advertiser or event.
  • Rotate credentials after suspected exposure and before transferring control to another production team.
  • Use only one authorized active publisher unless Micro Rewards explicitly enables another workflow.

Viewer rewards and anti-abuse controls

Eligible viewers select Watch & Earn. Verification checks playback and campaign conditions and generally credits valid time in 15-second batches. One active rewarded session per account and, when enabled, per extension installation may be enforced. Multiple legitimate viewers may share a network, but one person may not use linked accounts or devices to multiply rewards. Suspicious activity can be paused for review.

Reconnect behavior

If the broadcaster disconnects and reconnects, the closed-beta watch page may automatically reload or recreate playback. Rewards resume only after playback and eligibility checks pass again. An interrupted or incomplete interval may restart.
